So what is the mission exactly?
Going is a prerequisite for making disciples.
- Acts 8:1, 4-8
- Acts 10:34-35
- Acts 11:1-4, 18
- Acts 13:1-5
- Acts 14:27
- Acts 15:1-19
- Galatians 2:11-14
Going to make disciples of Gentiles required Peter and the other disciples, to go way outside the comfortable and familiar!
Going, by definition, means not staying where you are.
Going implies movement away from one thing and toward another.
Going is less about the where and more about the why.
If we are not willing to go somewhere we normally wouldn’t go, do something we are not comfortable doing, or befriend someone we don’t particularly like for the sake of the gospel, then we cannot hope to fulfill the Great Commission.
